I am deeply honoured to be the Scottish Labour candidate for the Holyrood seat of Aberdeen Donside. I have lived in Aberdeen for over 40 years. My deep roots in the community and experience as a city councillor and NHS worker uniquely position me to represent our city with dedication and passion.

In the 2024 General Election, I had the privilege of being the candidate for Aberdeen North (which covers much of the Aberdeen Donside constituency). I might even have knocked on your door and spoken to you in person! My team and I knocked on 7500 doors during the campaign and achieved a remarkable swing to Labour of nearly 20%. This transformed one of the safest SNP seats at Westminster into one of the most marginal.
I'm an experienced public servant:
With 30 years’ experience in the NHS, my career has been outside the political "bubble" and I have firsthand knowledge of the challenges our public services face.
As a member of the Scottish Co-operative Party, I am deeply committed to empowering our communities and creating a fairer and more equal society.
My vision for Aberdeen:
We have a golden opportunity to steer our city and Scotland in a new direction. The current SNP government is out of touch, out of ideas and out of time.
My top priorities for Aberdeen include addressing the crisis in NHS Grampian, investing in all our public services and ensuring a just transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy. I am committed to making Aberdeen the capital of renewables, while protecting jobs and addressing climate change.
